My Story

How it all started
and why I didn't stop.

The Beginning · Fitness

Me, 16 years old,
and the first time at the gym.

I first went to the gym at 16. Not because I necessarily wanted to get "in shape" but because 13 years of soccer had left their mark and I had to take care of my knees.

Over the years, training became an integral part of my life. Not as a chore, but as something I look forward to. I learned that success comes from joy, not from torment. This realization still shapes my coaching approach today.

"I often struggle with myself, don't like being the center of attention, and yet the quiet gym guy eventually became someone who shows others how it's done and completed training at the gym."

Vegetarianism; The First
Real Turning Point.

I grew up with, even though I hate the word, "farm animals" and always knew where my food came from. But at some point, my conscience started bothering me more and more. The more I thought about it, the stronger the feeling became that eating meat just wasn't right for me anymore.

So I made a decision: I became vegetarian. Not because it was a trend, but because it felt right to me at that moment.

In retrospect, that was the first step that completely changed my view on diet and consumption in general.

"If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian."

The Step · Vegan

February 2022.
100% vegan. And no turning back.

In February 2022, I decided to go vegan. For me, it was the logical progression from my previous vegetarian lifestyle. If you truly think the issue through, there's hardly any way around a vegan lifestyle, and there's no argument against it.

What happened next surprised even me: my training improved. I had more energy, and my digestion got much better. And the food? That suddenly became even more fun than before. I had to get creative again to cook my favorite dishes in a vegan and protein-rich way.

"Veganism is the logical consequence if you call yourself an animal lover."

Instagram · Getting started

@vegan_high_protein —
because the gap was huge.

I started documenting my recipes. Not because I wanted to become an "influencer" – a word I still dislike to this day – but because I realized that this combination of vegan and high-protein barely existed in the German-speaking world.

The first post was bad. So were the next twenty. Nevertheless, I kept at it because it quickly became clear: there was a lot of interest in the topic.

Three years later: over 600,000 followers, more than 300 recipes, and countless messages from people who write:
"This is the first time I've enjoyed vegan and high-protein dishes."

Even though it's hard for me to be proud of things:
This is really cool, and I never would have expected it!

"I never wanted to be an influencer. I just wanted to show that vegan and high-protein can go together."

Things you can't
Google about me.

Coffee since the age of 4. Diluted, of course. My parents thought the caffeine would calm me down 😂

I did stand-up comedy. Yes, seriously. Unfortunately, I don't have time for it anymore, but my love for humor remains.

02
🐕

I grew up with many animals. That shaped me greatly, more than I realized at the time.

03

I often speak too quickly. If you’ve had a conversation with me and didn’t catch half of it, you’re not alone.

HipHop, Rawstyle, LoFi, Techno. There's a perfect music for every situation.

🌄

I don't like being the center of attention. Yet here I am, doing this. Irony of life or a conscious decision? I don't even know myself.

06
🍳

Always eat in the evening first. Thanks to intermittent fasting. I love to have breakfast, but my first bite is usually at 4 PM.

❄️

Take a cold shower every morning.
It really helps me wake up and I've immediately accomplished something I didn't really want to do.

The Recipes

How a recipe
originates for me.

No recipe on this page is the result of a single good day. Behind each one is a process that sometimes worked better and sometimes worse.

My aim: Every recipe should be suitable for everyday use. Of course, what that means differs for everyone. Nevertheless, I try to keep everything as simple as possible, so that even beginners in vegan cooking can easily succeed with the recipes.

💡
Idea & Concept
Often the idea comes from a frustration: "Why isn't this vegan?" Sometimes, though, I just open the fridge, see what I have, and start cooking on a whim.
🧪
First test
Sometimes a recipe works out perfectly on the first try, other times it takes a few more attempts until I'm truly satisfied with the result.
📊
Calculate macros
I precisely calculate the nutritional values of each recipe. Of course, I always try to use the most protein-rich ingredients to meet my standards.
Test at least 3 times
Only when a recipe has worked well three times does it actually make it onto the blog. It should always be successful and as reproducible as possible.
What I stand for

Three things that are not
negotiable.

🎯
Honesty over perfection
I show what I actually eat, not what would theoretically be ideal. Nobody eats perfectly every day, and that's precisely not the goal here. My aim is to find the sweet spot between good nutritional values and a truly delicious result.
Everyday usability or nothing at all
A recipe that takes 3 hours and 15 ingredients is not an option for most people. Everything on this site must fit into real everyday life. That, besides taste, is my most important quality criterion.
💪
Performance without compromise
Vegan doesn't mean less – it means different. My recipes show that with plant-based ingredients and a little creativity, you can achieve just as good results as with an omnivorous diet.
