This crispy chickpea salad with golden tofu is the perfect vegan alternative to the viral original. With creamy sweet chili dressing and plenty of protein, this salad is sure to become your new favorite dish.

A vegan and high-protein version of the viral sweet chili salad. Instead of chicken, we use golden tofu, and for even more protein, crispy chickpeas instead of rice.

Schritt-für-Schritt Anleitung

Marinate tofu

Marinate the tofu in the corresponding ingredients (at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight), then add the cornstarch and mix well.

Best to marinate overnight for maximum flavor

bake chickpeas

Mix the chickpeas with the corresponding ingredients, bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius in a convection oven, and turn them several times in between.

Fry tofu

Meanwhile, bake the tofu until crispy, either in the pan or in the air fryer.

Prepare dressing

Mix all the ingredients for the dressing and set aside.

Combine everything in a bowl and enjoy immediately.
